Rakufurin 9-inch Nagoya obi "Sleeping Leopard"

sleeping leopard
This is one of the first Takeshi Horie's haiku poems, "Hazakura" (printed in 1980).
This piece was created based on the theme of ``The beauty of cherry blossoms and sleeping leopards''.
This haiku depicts the pleasant season when the cherry blossoms have finished blooming and the young leaves sway softly, and a leopard at the zoo is asleep under the sunlight filtering through the trees. It is thought that he was drawn to the beauty of the gentle green of the cherry blossoms and the jet black color of the reclining leopard when he composed the poem, and this obi gently expresses the scene of a slumber with puffed weave.
